Bocado Restaurant Review
Bocado is one my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. They do not have a big menu, however what they do have they do very well. Luke hadn't been to Bocado and I wanted to share my little foodie jewel with him.
The inside is well decorated in a minimalist style with warm lighting and a sophisticated feel. Service is always great there too!
We started with the deviled eggs, topped with tomato jam, pickled okra, and crispy shallots. They were good however, there are so many great things on their menu I wouldn't order them again unless I was craving deviled eggs.
The Brussels Sprouts were delicious served with toasted farro, celeric cream, lemon, and sweet chilis. The combination was spectacular and I love that the main ingredient was so nutritious!
How pretty is this? The quinoa salad was like a work of art! This superfood salad was so refreshing and light with many healthy ingredients in one dish; red quinoa, avocado, radish, cilantro served with a cashew line butter. Pretty, tasty and healthy equals a perfect 10 for me.
Oh my the burger, where do I even begin? Now this was not healthy, but worth every melt in your mouth bite!!! It is the best burger by far that I have had in Atlanta. The double patty with two layers of gooey cheese, house made pickles and their special sauce equals heaven between a bun! Luke ordered it and I had a bite, well maybe a little more, but it was better than I remembered. The herb and garlic fries are great too, however they will leave you with garlic breath for days. If on a date you may want to avoid!!
I love that Chef Adam Waller has vegetables as the star for many of his sharing plates. It is easy to get things to taste great with bacon and other fats but he really hits the nail on the head with his delectable veggies dishes. If you know someone who won't eat anything green this would be the place to try to convert them!
Bocado is a must visit for anyone who enjoys great food, drinks and a nice atmosphere.
Tip - Tuesdays they offer a free pint with the burger.
Price range - Burger $13 - Cullotte Steak $25
